How we keep things safe
Stripe-protected payments
Funds flow directly between client and tradesperson via Stripe Connect. TradeBeo never holds your money.
Two-sided completion
Payment is only released once both the client and tradesperson confirm the work is done.
Reviews you can challenge
Every review is user-generated and can be reported. Our admin team reviews flagged content.
Safety & insurance FAQ
No. TradeBeo is a peer-to-peer marketplace. Clients and tradespeople form their own direct agreements. We don't employ, hire, supervise, or guarantee any tradesperson's work.
No. All payments are processed by Stripe Connect, which sends funds directly to the tradesperson's connected Stripe account. TradeBeo collects a 10% platform fee via Stripe's automatic application fee mechanism. We never touch the principal.
TradeBeo does not provide or guarantee insurance. We strongly recommend clients verify a tradesperson's professional indemnity / public liability insurance before agreeing on a job. Insurance details displayed in profiles are self-reported by the tradesperson.
Your agreement is directly with the tradesperson. If something goes wrong: (1) don't confirm completion on your side — payment won't release; (2) raise a dispute via the platform; (3) leave an honest review after completion. Our admin team can review disputes but doesn't act as a guarantor of work quality.
Pricing models on a job (Fixed, Hourly, Per m², or Negotiate) are indicative only. The agreed price is confirmed by both parties through the structured chat-offer system inside Messages. Until an offer is accepted, no price is binding.
Yes. Under GDPR you have the right to access and erase your data. Use the 'Download My Data' button on your profile to export a full JSON copy. Use 'Delete My Account' to permanently erase your account and associated data.
